Wood Book

This book was created with wood veneer and paper. The reader will not just learn, but also feel, see, and even smell the wood. I designed it as a fully interactive experience.

This book was one of my favourite projects to work on. In the months preceding the creation of the book, I went through an obsession with wood, woodworking, and veneer. So I jumped at the opportunity to create something I would love to create and learn about as it is a long-time passion of mine.

This project was challenging, in many ways. Gathering the different types of wood veneer was not an easy task, even though my two uncles work in the veneer industry. As I read more about the rarest types of wood, I fell in love. Creating this book was an educational experience for me, and I wanted to pass that on through the design.
